Cathy Levengood Adams

CATHY LEVENGOOD ADAMS, 44, passed away in her Mineral City home surrounded by her loving family and friends on Monday morning, October 14, 2002, after her courageous battle against cancer. Cathy was born February 12, 1958 in Dover to Dean F. and the late Wilma K. Swonger Levengood. In 1976 she graduated from Tusky Valley High School. She was a member of the Good Hope Lutheran Church at Zoarville. She was an active member of the Tusky Valley Football Parents and an avid supporter of all Tusky Valley sports programs. Cathy enjoyed horseback riding but most of all she loved being with her family and friends. She is survived by husband, William G. Adams; children, Kari Adams of Berlin and Cade Alan Adams of Somerdale; father and step-mother, Dean and S. Louise Levengood of Mineral City; sisters, Paula Moore of Somerdale, Valerie (Joel) Gordon of Mineral City and Wendy (Andy) Lab of Sherrodsville; brothers, Rick (Lorna) Levengood and Scott (Sally) Levengood, both of Mineral City; grandmother, Erma Scott of Magnolia; mother and father-in-law, Dale and Glenda Adams of Somerdale; nieces, Wilma Levengood, Natasha Moore, Allison Boggs, Stacey Naus, Julie, Chrissy and Lindsay Miller, Abby and Heidi Adams; nephews, Nathan Levengood, Craig (Heather) Burkhart, Jason Burkhart, Cameron Newhouse, Julian and Jaren Levengood, Cole Lab, Curt (Leslie) Naus and Grant Adams; great-nephews, Jeffrey Allen, Randy Joel and Jeordan Zayn Burkhart-Culp. In addition to her mother, Cathy was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jeffrey A. Levengood; maternal grandparents, Elmer and Mary Swonger and paternal grandparents, John and Viva Levengood. Calling hours will be Wednesday, October 16, 2002 from 2:00 to 9:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia. The funeral service will be Thursday, October 17, 2002 at 10:00 AM in the St. Paul Lutheran Church, 156 Poplar St. in Bolivar with Rev. Marvin Ritterling officiating. Burial will follow at Bisel Cemetery. After the committal a reception will be given in the Fairfield Township Fire Department at Somerdale.
