Catherine Elizabeth Thompson Neibert

Catherine Elizabeth Thompson Neibert, age 84, of Hennis Care Center at Dover, and formerly of New Philadelphia, died peacefully early Thursday evening, June 9, 2011. Born at Dennison, December 14, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Ann (Brown) Robinson. A former Clerk for Wayne Township, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting in her spare time. Catherine also loved gardening, reading, and spending quality time with her family.Survivors include two daughters and a son; Debra Ann (husband, Keith) Calhoun of Dennison, Jeffrey (wife, Lola Mae) Thompson of Bellefonte, PA, and Stacy (husband, Don) Beamer of Stonecreek. She’ll be sadly missed by 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and even great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous step-great and step-great-great-grandchildren. A sister, Barbara Guthrie of Wheeling, WV, and three brothers, Glenn Seiber, John (wife, Ann) Seiber both of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, and Jack Robinson of Uhrichsville; and 3 brothers-in-law, Melvin (Shirley) Neibert of Wainwright, Myron (Phyllis) Neibert of Ashland, and Dean (Sandy) Thompson of Stow, O., also survive. Four step-children, Dorothy Vanscoy, Kay (Bob) Reardon, Trudy Neibert and Brian (Jonnie) Neibert as well as numerous nieces and nephews complete the family. In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her husbands, Edward Thompson and Samuel Neibert; her son, Stephen Thompson; and her step-daughter, Lynne Dupler. Friends are invited to call Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover, 5600 N. Wooster Ave.Rev. Bill Waltz will lead Catherine’s funeral service on Monday, June 13 at 11 a.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. Burial will follow in Dundee Cemetery.
