Catherine B. Schlafly

Catherine B. “Bunny” Schlafly, 78, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, June 6, 2002 at Union Hospital in Dover following a sudden illness.Born in New Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Charles D. and Veronica A. Ringler Hare. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia, the L.C.B.A. Bunny enjoyed playing cards and participated in two card clubs, camping and loved spending time with her family.Her husband, the late Paul W. Schlafly died in 1983. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Ann Smith and Judy E. Peters, both of New Philadelphia; six grandchildren, Sandy (Greg) Geib, Patty Peters, Mike (Terri) Peters; Thomas E. Smith, Carole Lynn (Bob) Courtwright and Amy J. (Brian) Heston; three great-grandchildren, Zachary and Logan Geib and Riley Nicole Peters. A son, two sisters and a brother are deceased.Funeral services will be held Monday, June 10, 2002 at 1:30 PM at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home in New Philadelphia. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 9, 2002 from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
