Carter Steele Clark

Carter Steele Clark, age 83, of Medina, Ohio, formerly of Gibsonburg, Ohio, died Sunday, May 4, 2008 at Western Reserve Masonic Community.
Born October 26, 1924, at Detroit, Michigan, he was a son of the late Theodore Eugene and Ellen Elizabeth Steele Clark.
Carter was a graduate of Fostoria High School and had attended the University of Toledo. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. On August 10, 1946, he married Marjorie Burke at Lorain, Ohio. The couple celebrated sixty-one anniversaries together.
Carter was Vice President at Atlas Industries of Gibsonburg, Ohio, until his retirement. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, the Gibsonburg American Legion and the United States Chess Federation.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son and two daughters, Bill (Rita) of Cincinnati, Beth (Tom) Fragasse of New Philadelphia, and Patty (Ron) Console of Cleveland Heights; grandchildren, David (Shannon) Clark, Melissa (Jeremy) Klotz, Michael Fragasse, Matthew and Lena Console; great grandchildren, Jacob, Isabelle, Rebecca, Zoë, and Maya; and a brother, Arthur Clark.
In addition to his parents, Carter is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Donna Fragasse; two brothers Theodore and Gaylord; and a sister, Shirley Warner.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 10, 2008, at 12:00 pm in the West Union Cemetery at Gibsonburg. The family will receive friends and family at the Faith United Methodist Church where a luncheon will be held following the graveside service. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, May 17th at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Western Reserve Masonic Community 4931 Neddleton Road, Medina, Ohio, 44256.
