Carole V. Rexroad

Carole Anne Rexroad, 74, of Strasburg, died Wednesday, March 18, 2009 in Union Hospital at Dover following a short illness.A daughter of the late Howard and Iola (Stein) Rexroad, Carole was born October 30, 1934 at New Philadelphia, Ohio.She was a 1953 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. Over the years, Carole worked at various businesses in the area including the former Woolworth’s and TGY stores and most recently at Dover Station Restaurant. Carole was also a member of Dover Bible Church for over 17 years.Carole will be missed by her family which include a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Laura Rexroad of Dover; three granddaughters, Lauren Rexroad and Kirsten Rexroad both of New Philadelphia and Sydney Rexroad of Dover; an expected great grandchild due to arrive in August; her companion, Marvin Wertman of Dover and numerous cousins.She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers.Friends may call on Friday, March 20, 2009 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Carole’s life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ed Scaglione officiating.
