Carol Sue Siber, age 59, of Dover, went home to be with the Lord early Monday, May 24, 2004.Born above Ringhimer’s Garage in New Philadelphia on July 3, 1944, she was a daughter of the late John Herbert and Esther Parson Scott.Mrs. Siber was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ at Strasburg, and a member of AARP. For more than five years, she was affiliated with Children’s Services. She was a devoted mother and wife. Carol will be missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her husband of thirty-four years, Arthur Siber II, a daughter; Marsha (Nick) Springer of Newcomerstown, a son, Richard (Erin) Siber of North Canton; a stepson Arthur W. Siber III, Grandchildren; Julie & Jason Springer and Kelsey and Kyle Siber, brothers; Jim (Flo) Scott of New Philadelphia, and Gene (Dianne) Scott of Wooster, brothers-in-law; Glenn Siber of Parkersburg, WV, Bruce Siber of Lawrenceville, GA, and Clayton Siber of Patuxent River, MD, as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call Tuesday, anytime after 2 with the family present from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home of New Philadelphia. The Rev. Gerald G. Schuessler will lead a funeral service celebrating Carol’s life Wednesday morning at 10:30 in the funeral home’s chapel. Burial will follow at Evergreen Burial Park. Following the committal service, a meal will be shared at the Geib Family Center, adjacent to the funeral home. Those unable to attend are invited to send condolences to the family, sign an online guest registry, and view a memorial to Mrs. Siber’s life on the funeral home’s website.
