Carol Jean Penrod, age 63, of Newcomerstown, passed peacefully on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 in Union Hospital at Dover following a brief illness; where she entered the arms of her heavenly father and was reunited with her earthly son, Max.

A daughter of the late George and Ethel (Gross) Maurer, Carol was born at New Philadelphia on September 9, 1951.

She was a 1970 graduate of New Philadelphia High School and married the love of her life, Max E. Penrod on January 22, 1972.
