CARLISLE, 64, of Goshen Valley, died Monday evening, September 1, 2003, two days before her 65th birthday.Carol was born in Roswell on September 3, 1938, the only daughter to the late Earl and Thelma Espenshied Harig. She attended Midvale Elementary School and graduated from New Philadelphia High School.On April 10, 1959, Carol married Donald E. “Fuzzy” Carlisle, who survives.A homemaker, Carol helped her community by working with the Tuscarawas County Board of Elections at voting polls. A devoted family woman, her greatest joy was sharing her life and being with her six grandchildren. Carol loved attending their sporting events and was always interested in their activities.In addition to Fuzzy, Carol is survived by two daughters, Debbie (Paul) Arnold of Tuscarawas, and Linda (Bruce L.) Garner of Gnadenhutten; a son, Jim (Jerri) Carlisle of Goshen; grandchildren, Jeremy & Jessica Arnold, Corey & Kayla Garner, Josh & Justin Carlisle; brothers, Dick Harig of Dover, Jim (Ann) Harig of Ft. Gibson, OK, Tony Harig of Elizabethtown, IN and Dennis (Theresa) Harig of Muskogee, OK. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother.Visitation will be Wednesday (today), September 3, 2003 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia where the funeral will be Thursday at 10:00 AM. Elder Glenn R. Carlisle will officiate. Burial will follow at Evergreen Burial Park.Contributions honoring Carol’s life may be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 W. Third St., Dover, OH 44622 or to the American Cancer Society, 201A W. Ohio Ave., Dover, OH 44622.
