Carol Fisher

Carol Ann Fisher, 70, of Mount Sterling, Ohio and formerly of New Philadelphia, died Sunday, December 14, 2014 in Select Specialty Hospital at Columbus, Ohio.

A daughter of the late Nick and Dessi (White) Meuhlen, Carol was born July 19, 1944 at New Philadelphia, Ohio.

Carol attended New Philadelphia High School and enjoyed playing Bingo and painting ceramics. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, John (Annette) Setvin of Somerdale, Rod (Cori) Setvin of Massillon, Scott (Dusti) Shoemaker of Mount Sterling, Ohio, Traci Waltz of New Philadelphia and Crystal (Ron Ihrig) of Mount Sterling, Ohio; several grandchildren and a brother, James Meuhlen of New Philadelphia.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Dorothy Meuhlen and Erma Korns, a brother, Peck Meuhlen, a nephew, Dale Meuhlen, Sr. and a grandson, Michael G. Hammary.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. In keeping with Carol’s wishes cremation will take place following visitation.
