Carol Ann Wenger

Carol Ann Wenger, age 67, of The Inn at Northwood Village, Dover and formerly of New Philadelphia, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 3, 2015 following an extended illness.

A daughter of Elsie A. (Conway) Wenger of Dennison and the late Joe D. Wenger, Carol was born at Dennison, Ohio on September 5, 1947.

A 1965 graduate of the former Dennison High School, Carol went on to obtain her Bachelor of Education Degree at Kent State University. Her first year of teaching began with the former Tuscarawas School. The following school year, Carol moved on to Newcomerstown Schools where she taught English and Spanish; and completed her 43 years as an educator when she retired in 2011.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and annually taking her summer vacation time to tour the Western part of the United States.

In addition to her mother, Carol is survived by a sister, Cindy (Jerry) Domer of Dover; three nieces, Tami (Matt) Crecco, Misti (Dennis) Lint, and Tiffany (Dan)Sunde as well as five great-nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Carol’s wishes, a private service will be held in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover with cremation care being conducted by Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.
