Carol Ann Kurzinsky, age 80, of New Philadelphia and formerly of Canton, died Friday, December 28, 2018, in Aultman Hospital at Canton.
A daughter of the late William and Mary June Meese Kemp, Carol was born on May 15, 1938 in Salisbury, Pennsylvania.
She was a graduate of Canton McKinley High School and retired from K-Mart in Canton where she was in charge of the receiving department.
Carol enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, being a member of the Red Hat Society, and traveling. She was an avid fan and religious watcher of Dancing with the Stars.
She is survived by her children, Mary Ellen (Dan) Flickinger of Massillon, Kelly (companion, Scott Burkett) Osler of Canton, Steve Kurzinsky and David (Kim) Kurzinsky all of New Philadelphia; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren as well as a sister, Ellen Albright of Perry Township.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Kemp and her husband, Donald V. Kurzinsky whom she married on November 21, 1957 and celebrated nearly 48 years of marriage prior to his passing on September 5, 2005.
The family will greet guests on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 5-8 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A service celebrating Carol’s life will be held in the funeral home’s chapel on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. Burial will follow in the East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
