Carl Joseph Miller, 71, of Henderson, Nevada, formerly of Newcomerstown, died Nov. 1, 2007 in St. Rose of Sienna Hospital at Las Vegas.A son of the late Herbert F. and Edith M. Burdett Miller, Carl was born March 31, 1936, at Newcomerstown. He was a 1954 graduate of Newcomerstown High School and a United States Naval veteran.Carl retired from the Alsco Company at Gnadenhutten and had been employed as Chief Maintenance Engineer with the Coors Brewing Company. He was of the Catholic faith, was an outdoorsman and enjoyed cooking.He is survived by a very special friend who took care of him till the end and mother of his children, Sonja A. Briggs, of Henderson, NV; a daughter, Brenda Miller, of New Philadelphia; a son, Thomas Miller, of Newcomerstown, sisters, Patricia Rexroad, Theresa Harper and Mary (Wendall) Ahle, all of Newcomerstown; a brother, Bill (Ann) Miller, of Findlay, Ohio; grandsons, Colton, Cassidy, Zach and Gage Miller, several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Kaylee.In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his wife Betty, and a brother, Donald Miller.In accordance with Carl’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or service, and his body will be buried in the Coshocton Memorial Gardens at Coshocton, Ohio.
