Camet E. Sexton

Camet E. Sexton, 88, New Philadelphia, died Saturday, September 18, 2004, at Union Hospital in Dover.Born February 12, 1916, in Independence, VA., (Grayson County), he was the son of the late John Fielden and Sarah Elizabeth Fine Sexton. Camet was an area supervisor for the Ohio Power Company for 43 years, retiring in Zanesville, OH, in 1978. He was a member of the Masons in Zanesville, enjoyed gardening and wood-carving, and traveled extensively with his wife of 64 years, the former Dorothy Evelyn Rickey.He will be greatly missed by his wife, his daughter, Florence Ellen (M. Wayne) Munday of Ashville, NC; son Herman Edward (Barbara Ann) Sexton of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Shane Edward (Elizabeth Ann) Sexton, Barbara Brie Sexton, and Christian Tyler (Stefane Jean) Sexton; great-grandchildren, Drew Abrahm Sexton, Ian Troy Sexton, Blake Allen Sexton, Stefane Aleah Sexton, Jayli Briana Sexton, Kiera Gabrielle Sexton, Josh (Nicole) Michael Maxwell, and Tia Michelle Maxwell; brothers, Clarence Talmadge Sexton of Galax VA, Kyle Hix Sexton, of Ennice, NC, Fred Jeleen Sexton of Woodlawn, VA, Harold Thomas Sexton, Wytheville, VA, Leon Herbert Sexton of Rison, MD; sister, Leila Belle Altice of Holly Hills, FL; 41 nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins.Camet was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother, Leila Bertha Miller Sexton; grandchildren, Scott Alan Sexton and Troy Michael Maxwell; brothers, Walter Claude Sexton, Muncy Summitt Sexton, Hershel Fielden Sexton, Voscoe Earnest Sexton, Willard Olean Sexton; and sisters, Lillian Ruth Isom, Clyde Elizabeth Sexton, Bessie Brooks Holloway, and Faye Lottie Ordos.Visitation will be Tuesday, September 21, 2004 from 4 to 7 pm at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory. Services will be conducted by Pastor John Johnson at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 22, in the funeral home chapel.
