C. Dave Stevenson

C. Dave Stevenson, 86, of Dover, passed away in New Dawn Retirement Community, Wednesday afternoon, January 21, 2015.

Born in Ohio on April 24, 1928, he was the son of the late William B and Arvilla (Hawkins) Stevenson. After completing his formal education at Midvale High School, Dave joined the United States Army where he honorably served his country from 1952 to 1953.

After returning to the Tuscarawas Valley, Dave was employed with the former Gundy Construction for 44 years before his retirement.

Dave is survived by his wife, the former Evelyn Libertore, of Dover; his children, David Allan Stevenson of New Philadelphia and Kathi Jean (John) Collins of Mississippi; and numerous other family members.

A memorial service will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia on Saturday, January 31 at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. The New Philadelphia VFW Post #1445 will render military honors immediately following the service.
