Burnette E. Stein, 84, of 130 Gause Dr., Baltic, died Wednesday, May 8, 2002, in her residence of natural causes.Born April 19, 1918 in Baltic, she was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Minnie Frank Ott.She was formerly a secretary for Modern Woodman of America Insurance Co. Burnette was a member of Union Hill United Methodist Church at Sugarcreek, the Ladies Missionary Society of St. John Lutheran Church at Baltic and the Baltic American Legion Auxiliary.Her husband, Arthur L. Stein, whom she married September 21, 1937, preceded her in death on December 11, 1982.Surviving:2 Daughters, Mrs. James (Beverly A.) Wortman of New Philadelphia and Mrs. David (Sandra K.) Owen of Catawaba Island.1 Son, Dana A. (Nancy) Stein of Sugarcreek7 Grandchildren, Jerry (Jane) Wortman and James D. Wortman, both of New Philadelphia, David C. Owen and Michael A. (Rene) Owen, both of Arizona, Stacey A. Stein, Randi N. Stein and Matthew D. Stein, all of Sugarcreek.7 Great-Grandchildren, Siouxsie and Angelque Owen, both of Arizona, Sara A., Laura A. and Alex Wortman, all of New Philadelphia, Chelsea and Tyler Owen, both of Arizona.1 Sister, Mrs. Roland(Lucille) Berger of Baltic1 Niece and 2 NephewsAn infant brother is deceased.Private graveside services for the immediate family will be held Saturday, May 11, 2002 at 2:30 PM in West Lawn Cemetery at Baltic. In keeping with Burnette’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or public services. The family suggests memorials be made to Union Hill United Methodist Church at 7877 Union Hill Rd.
