Brian James Schaar, age 21, of Goshen died Sunday, July 17, 2011.A son of Pam (husband, John) Maxwell Schaar Ashleman of Uhrichsville and the late James Schaar, Brian was born at Aultman Hospital at Canton, Ohio on August 4, 1989.Brian was a 2008 graduate of Indian Valley High School and enjoyed being out of doors, as he most often was found riding his four wheeler, hunting, camping or hiking. Most recently he was employed by Howden-North America at New Philadelphia as an assemblyman for rotors.Brian was well known and loved by the community of Goshen; having never met a stranger and befriended everyone whom he had the opportunity to meet. He had a selfless and giving heart always sure to put others needs and problems ahead of his own. Those who knew him were aware that he would be the first one on hand if they ever needed help with a project or task. To Brian, no task was impossible as he was always on the search for his next great adventure and loved to share his story of the endeavor when the feat had been completed. In addition to his mother and step-father, Brian will be deeply missed by his brother, Matt (wife, Charlotte) Schaar of Linden, North Carolina; an Uncle, Jeff Maxwell of Los Angeles, California, two aunts, Sue Garbrandt (fiancée, Dave Brink) and Mickie (husband, Ted) Jackson all of New Philadelphia; his maternal grandfather, Jeff Maxwell and his great-grandmother, Libby Stewart both of Tuscarawas.Special cousins, Rick (wife, Wendy) Neading of New Philadelphia; his best-friend, Ryan Hill of Tuscarawas, and numerous other cousins and friends complete the family.In addition to his father, Brian was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Darlene Maxwell, and his paternal grandparents, Bob and Barb Schaar.The family will receive friends on Friday, July 22, 2011, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Pastor Florence Fellers-McNutt will lead a memorial service celebrating Brian’s life in the funeral home’s chapel on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at 10 AM. Burial alongside his father will take place in the Sharon Moravian Church Cemetery. Following services, the family wishes to invite guests to a memorial luncheon in the AIC Club at Dennison, 503 Grant Street Dennison.The family requests memorial contributions in Brian’s name may be directed to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, P.O.
