Brent Alan Montague, 67, of New Philadelphia, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 in Union Hospital at Dover following a recent illness.
A son of the late Gene and Leona (Corkery) Montague, Brent was born April 29, 1953 in Denver, Colorado.
Brent graduated from Kennedy High School in Denver where he was a proud member of the baseball team. He worked as a meat cutter for Safeway Grocery Stores in the Denver area and retired after 30 years of service.
He enjoyed hunting, especially with friends, and he was a proud member of the National Rifle Association. Brent also enjoyed watching football and was an avid Denver Broncos fan. Most of all, Brent cherished and dearly loved his wife, Holly, and spending time with his family and dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Holly (Heid) Montague whom he married on March 29, 1975; his children, Todd (Jenny) Montague of Dover and Kimberly and Lesly Montague both of New Philadelphia; his dear friends, Clarence, George and Mark and his beloved dogs, JoJo and Lucy.
In keeping with Brent’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A celebration of his life will be planned for a later date.
