Brenda Kay Warnock, age 69, died peacefully, Sunday, April 6, 2025, in her daughter’s New Philadelphia home, following a period of declining health.

Born in Lynn Center, Illinois, on December 28, 1955, Brenda was a daughter of the late William Wright and Lillian M. Cooke Bird.

Following her graduation from high school, Brenda worked as Pre-K Teacher for East Moline Christian School and later as a receptionist for Ford Reynolds in Silvis, Illinois.

Brenda enjoyed traveling, caring for animals, working crossword and sudoku puzzles, reading, and was a lifelong fan of Elvis. Most of all, Brenda loved being a grandmother and having opportunities to spend time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Rodney D. Warnock of Cornell, Wisconsin, whom she married on September 20, 2008; her daughters, Stephanie (Slyvester) Purnell of New Philadelphia, Cheri Harper of Savanna, Illinois, Kayla (Reggie) Comeaux of Bloomer, Wisconsin, and Patricia (Kevin) Valentine of University Heights, Ohio; her step-daughters, Heather (Mike) Reynolds of Sheldon, Wisconsin, and Tiffany (Chris) Holte of Cornell, Wisconsin; her grandchildren, Alex Purnell, Darrick Evans, Christopher Evans-Hawthorne, Jordan Hawthorne, Kevin Praught, Alexis (Walker) Yirkovsky, Trinity, T.J. Noah, and Nevaeh Comeaux, Courtney Bradney, Annaka Coleman, Adriana Meistad, Asher Warnock, Aubrey Morfoot, Isabel and Harley Holte, and her great-grandchildren, Mahlani and Ahna Purnell Anthony and Owen Yirkovsky, and Ryder and Blaise Praught.

Completing the family are her siblings, William “Bill” Wright, Edward (Mary Aiello) Wright, Kitrinka Stout, numerous other siblings, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her mother and father, Brenda was preceded in death by grandchildren, Daniel Harwood, Xavior Comeaux, and Autumn Meistad, an infant brother, William Wright, Jr; and sisters, Monica Hunter and Melody Lane Stout.

Private services will be held with burial to take place in Western Reserve National Cemetery at Rittman, Ohio. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia is handling arrangements.

Instead of floral tributes, the family requests memorial contributions to be directed to Traditions Health Hospice, 238 Front Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
