Brenda J. Davis

Brenda J. Davis, 56, of Newcomerstown, died July 20, 2007 at her home.Born May 17, 1951 at Van Lear, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Ruby Griffith Powers and the late George Powers.She is survived by her husband, Gary Preston. Other survivors include two sons, Eric (Angela) Davis and their sons, James and Benjamin of East Point, Kentucky and Aaron (Melissa) Davis and their children Kyle and Kelly of Lowmansville, Kentucky. She will also be missed by her siblings which include three sisters, Neva Ferrell of Lake Como, Florida, Lavern McCluve of Navarre, Ohio, and Georjia Morsillett, of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; three brothers, Darrell Powers of Auxier, Kentucky, Mike Powers of Auxier, Kentucky and Cecil Powers, of Massillon, Ohio.In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Powers and her son, James A. Davis, IIA memorial service was held at her home in Newcomerstown on July 23, 2007 with The Rev. David Carroll officiating. A second memorial service will be held at her brother, Darrell’s, residence located at 5162 Kentucky Route 321, Auxier, Kentucky on Friday, July 27 beginning at 6:00 p.m. Inurnment of Brenda’s cremated remains will take place alongside her son at Highlands Memorial Park at Staffordsville, Kentucky.
