Brenda I. Clever

Brenda I. Clever, 84, of New Philadelphia, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024 in Hennis Care Centre of Dover after a period of declining health.

Born on May 24, 1940, Brenda was the daughter of the late Patrick Brennen and Irene Rachel (Swinderman) Kelly.

Brenda was a long-time employee of Buehler’s Fresh Foods of New Philadelphia. Brenda was known by many as the cashier who always had a warm smile and a caring heart. She was an avid reader in her free time. In her later years she loved to watch games shows and spend time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, David (Vicky Carpenter) Adams of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Seth Endres, Andrew (Stephanie) Ickes, Madison (Jared Miller) Adams, Brennen Adams, Nicole Burkhart, and Alex (Heather) White; great-grandchildren, Gigi, Emmie, Tiana, Kristy, and Aiden; and family friend, John Ickes.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Cindy Endres; sister, Patricia Ricklic; and brother, Thomas Kelly.

The family will greet guests on Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia. A Rosary Service will be held in the funeral home at 4:45 PM. Father Jeff Conning will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. An inurnment will take place at a later date in Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
