Brandon James Reynolds, six-year-old son of Roy Richard and Heather Dawn Hren Reynolds Jr., of Old Town Valley, New Philadelphia, died unexpectedly in his family home, Saturday, April 17, 2004. Born in Dover on September 10, 1997, he quickly became the joy of his parent’s life. Brandon was born with Beckwith-Wiedeman Syndrome, but he overcame enormous adversity early in life. He attended Starlight School, and had gained the love and admiration of fellow students and staff. At home in the country, Brandon loved being his mommy and daddy’s little cowboy. He enjoyed watching cartoons, and being outdoors with his nine year old sister, Mykala, and his best-buddy and younger brother, Nathan, age 4. Brandon and his family are members of the New Life Church of God in Dover. In addition to his parents, sister, and brother, Brandon leaves behind a loving and supportive family that includes maternal grandparents, Joe (Valorie) Hren of Dennison; paternal grandparents Wendy Hidey of New Philadelphia and Roy (Brenda) Reynolds Sr. of Mineral City; a paternal great-grandmother, Betty Justice and maternal great-grandfather, Don Oxley. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles mourn his passing, and will miss him dearly. Brandon is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Sam Hidey; paternal great-grandparents, Charles and Almeda Reynolds and Virgil Moyer, and his maternal great-grandparents, Mary Lou Oxley Haun and Joseph and Mary E. Hren Sr.Friends are invited to call Thursday afternoon from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory of New Philadelphia. Pastor Dode Overton will officiate funeral services Friday morning, April 23, 2004 at 10:30AM in the New Life Church Of God, 115 South Avenue, Dover. Burial will follow at Stone Creek Cemetery. A reception will follow the committal service at Stone Creek’s Grace United Church of Christ Fellowship Hall. Contributions to a family memorial fund may be made at any Dover-Phila Federal Credit Union location, or via mail to their main office, 119 Fillmore Ave. Dover OH 44622.
