Bobby Ray Haney

Bobby “Bob” Ray Haney, 70, of New Philadelphia, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at his home surrounded by his family.Born September 13, 1934 in Hazard, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Robert Lee Haney, Sr. and Goldie Ellen (Wills) Haney Johnson.After completing his education, Bob began working. He most recently worked for Alsco in Gnadenhutten. Many will long remember Bob as an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and Browns, and Ohio State.Bob will be sadly missed by his family which includes his four daughters, Tina Sanders of New Philadelphia, Mindy (Chuck) Rose of the home, Tammy Moore of New Philadelphia, and Barb (Rob) Page of Uhrichsville; 11 grandchildren, Nathan and Zachary Sanders, Chucky (Charity) Rose, Brittany (Joe) Donehue, Kayla Rose, Anthony Moore, Ryan Moore, Seth Moore, all of New Philadelphia, Nichole Page, Jimmy Page, and Emily Page, all of Uhrichsville; four step-grandchildren, Justin, Robert, Shawna, and Josh Page of Uhrichsville; three great-grandchildren, Makina Donehue and Tyson Rose of New Philadelphia and Brandon Page of Uhrichsville; sisters, Christine (Tom) Colvin of Dover and Mary Ann (Larry) Sterms of Holloway; brothers, Edward Haney of Wainwright, Joseph (Linda) Haney of Newcomerstown, and Robert (Carol) Haney, Jr. of New Philadelphia.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lula Jane Slocum and Virginia Gatten.Visitation will be held Thursday, May 5 from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home in New Philadelphia. Following visitation, a service will be officiated by Pastor Larry Fletcher at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home’s chapel.
