Bobbie J. Westfall

Bobbie J. Westfall, age 73, of Port Washington, and formerly of Dover and Stonecreek, passed away early Friday morning, June 15, 2012, in Twin City Hospital at Dennison.

A son of the late James Riley and Bertha Ellen Conard Westfall, he was born in Braxton, West Virginia, on September 27, 1938.

Bobbie married Catherine S. Young at Sutton, West Virginia, on May 1, 1962. The couple grew up as classmates and went on to observe their fiftieth wedding anniversary only last month.

The couple moved from West Virginia to the Tuscarawas Valley just following their wedding, and gave birth to their son, Wes Westfall, who, with his wife, Rachael, resides at New Philadelphia. A few years later, their daughter Susan was born, who with her husband, Kirk Beitzel, also reside at New Philadelphia.

Bobbie will be remembered by his family as a hard worker, who in his spare time and retirement, enjoyed hunting and fishing. He delighted in spending time with his four granddaughters; Kylie (fiancé Joe Seldenright) Westfall of New Philadelphia, Sammi (husband, Chuck) Stout of Havelock, North Carolina, Kasey and Brianna Beitzel, both of New Philadelphia.

Three brothers, John H. (wife, Della) Westfall and Raymond ( wife, Shirley) Westfall, both of Sutton, West Virginia, and Wade ( wife,Barbara) Westfall of Sugarcreek, also survive.

Many nieces and nephews complete the family.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Westfall is preceded in death by his three sisters Donnie Uldrich, Bonnie Westfall, and Daisy Garrett, and two brothers, Franklin and Bill Westfall.

Cremation is planned, with private family services to be held. There are no public calling hours or services.
