Beverly Jean Devore

Beverly Jean Devore, age 69 of Dover, died Tuesday, August 12, 2008, in Union Hospital at Dover following a sudden illness.A daughter of the late Alphonse Ortense & Ethel (Lawrence) Ortense-Richards, Bev was born at Canton, Ohio on December 19, 1938.She attended Lehman High School at Canton and later relocated to the Tuscarawas Valley where she attended and graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1956.For more than 20 years, Bev worked for the former Handy and Harman of Dover and later worked for its predecessor, Meteor Sealing Systems also of Dover.Beverly was a quiet person who most often kept to herself, but when it came to spending time with her grandchildren, her heart of gold would most certainly shine through.Beverly is survived by her four sons, Jeff Devore of Nevada, John Devore and his companion Shari Tracht of Collins, Ohio, Michael (Cyndee) Devore of Woodenville, Washington and Todd (Kim) Devore of New Philadelphia.Four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter complete the family.In addition to her parents, Beverly is preceded in death by her baby, a teenage son, Scott Devore, and her step-father, Joseph Richards.The family will receive friends on Friday, August 15, 2008, from 6:00 â?? 8:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.
