Beulah M. Hamlin, age 99, of New Philadelphia died peacefully, Monday Feb. 14, 2011, in New Dawn Retirement Center at Dover, surrounded by her loving family.A daughter of the late Christ & Tina Lye Lorenz she was born Sept, 30, 1911 at Fresno, Ohio. She was a homemaker and a true sweetheart all of her life. Throughout her lifetime she faced many challenges which she overcome and bravely moved on to the next.Her children and grandchildren will remember berry picking, jelly making, and her awesome homemade pies. She was a diehard professional wrestling fan and enjoyed polka and square dancing with her grandchildren. She truly loved and enjoyed her family and shared her sharp wit, stories and humor. Bea, as she was known to family and friends, will be forever missed by her beloved children; Dorothy Chesia of Orlando, Florida, Terry Lee (Darlene) Hamlin of New Philadelphia, Ruth Ann (William) Knecht of Dover, Mary Lee (Abe) Crumbliss of Apopka, Florida, and Richard (Margaret) Trubey of South Bend Indiana; and a daughter-in-law Maxine Hamlin, companion Don Powelson of Baltic.Her loving grandchildren, Alan Wayne (Michele) Boreman, Christine Ramsey, fiancée Bryan Aubihl, Terry Lynn (Myra) Hamlin, Michele (Troy) Wright, Elizabeth (Scot) Haver, Tina (Mick) Hunt, Eric (Sherrie) Leiter, Carl (Jackie) Leiter, Bryan (Stephanie) Leiter, Kenny (Sarah) Hamlin, Ben Hamlin, Kayla Hamlin, Lonnie (Rita) Chesia, William, (Julie) Knecht, Tina Shrump, companion, Dave Barrick and Jeff Knecht; 38 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews complete the family. Bea will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ben, and two sons; Robert Trubey and Roger Hamlin as well as all of her siblings.The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 17, 2011, from 1:00 â?? 3:00 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Pastor Andy McClung will lead a funeral service celebrating Bea’s life in the funeral home’s chapel on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. Burial in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover will follow.
