Betty Lou Sharady

Betty Lou Sharady, age 87, of New Philadelphia, Ohio, passed away on December 6, 2023, at Park Village, Southside Campus, while under Hospice care.  Betty is preceded in death by her first husband, Carl F Sherrets who died in 1961, and her late husband, Mickey Sharady.  She is also preceded in death by her many siblings, Dorothy Bertheimer, T. Emmitt Stull, Charles R. Stull, Adrian Stull, Lucille Miles, Kalman Stull, Glen Stull, and Roberta Mason.  Her loving grandson, Kent Sherrets, also predeceased her.

Betty is survived by her loving family, including sons and daughters-in-law, Carl D. and Vonda Sherrets, and Kenneth E. and Carla Sherrets; grandchildren, Erin (Josh) Compaleo and Kyle Sherrets; and great- granddaughter, Juniper Lou Compaleo.  There are many other caring family members and friends too numerous to mention.

Betty spent most of her career working at Alsco Anaconda, which later became Sugarcreek Window and Door.  She also spent time working at the Times Reporter and as a greeter at Walmart.

Betty will be remembered for her hard-working attitude, and for her loving and caring nature as she always placed concerns for others before herself.  She enjoyed bowling and spending time with family.  She will be greatly missed.

Per Betty’s wishes, there will be no services. A private graveside service will be held at Dover Burial Park where Betty will be laid to rest beside her husband, Carl.
