Betty L. Sexton of New Philadelphia went to be with Jesus at the ripe old age of 90 on Thursday, June 7, 2018.
She was born in the family home at New Philadelphia on August 27, 1927. Betty was a daughter of the late Clayton and Grace Emig Rosenberry.
For many years, Betty was a cashier at Goodwill Industries. She was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and enjoyed reading.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Wendy (Dave) Smith, Jerry (Penny) Sexton and Mike Sexton; her grandchildren, Scott, Kelly, Lacy, R. Benjamin, Jerriann, and Joey; her great-grandchildren, Justin, Jordyn, Brennan and William; two sisters, Sharon Young and Linda (Jerry) Froman; and numerous extended family members and wonderful friends.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband Ralph; her sister Elaine Rosenberry; an infant brother; and a son-in-law, Tim Flickinger.
In keeping with Betty’s wishes, there will be no public calling hours. A memorial service celebrating her life will be led by Bill Hardy in Kurios Church, 152 7th Street SW, New Philadelphia on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 7 PM where a light reception will follow. Private inurnment will take place in the Dover Burial Park.
