Betty Ruth (simmons) Ford

Betty Ruth (Simmons) Ford, 81, of Palm Harbor, Florida and formerly of New Philadelphia died Thursday, February 22, 2007 in her home.A daughter of the late Harvey and Anna (Stiner) Simmons, Betty was born January 17, 1926 at New Philadelphia, Ohio.She is survived by her loving husband, Jack D. Ford; one son, Steve Brady of Florida; nieces, Linda Sparr, Kathy Weaver and Melanie Stevens; nephews, Ralph and Gary Italia, and many great nieces and great nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Velda Simmons and Venetta Jones and three brothers, Raymond, Newton and Myrl Simmons.Family and friends may call on Thursday, March 1, 2007 from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Betty’s life will follow at 2 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel with Rev. Robert Sparr officiating. Burial will follow in Fairfield Cemetery at West Lafayette, Ohio.
