Betty L. Bear

Betty L. Bear, 73, of Dover, died Sunday, February 23, 2003 at her residence following an extended illness.Born in New Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Frank H. and Mildred M. Burris Bear and had retired from Belknap Chiropractic Center in New Philadelphia where she had served as office manager.Surviving are a sister, Dorothy Halter, with whom she had resided; two nieces, Sandra Fragasse and Mary Jo (Gary) Haught both of New Philadelphia; two nephews, Victor (Kathi) Krebs of New Philadelphia and John (Annette) Krebs of Pataskala and numerous great nieces and great nephews. A nephew, Donald Krebs, a brother-in-law, Donald “Diz” Halter and a brother Frank Bear also precede her in death.In keeping with her wishes, her body is to be cremated and a graveside service will be held Thursday, February 27, 2003 at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia with Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to First Church of the Brethren, 700 Fair Avenue NW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663 or Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 West Third Street, Dover, Ohio 44622.
