Betty Jean Stevens, 62, of Wooster, died peacefully Tuesday evening, August 12, 2003, at Akron City Hospital following a five-week illness. A daughter of the late Ruben and Daisy Shane Groh, she was born November 8, 1940, in Ragersville and was married to Gerald Stevens who preceded her in death in April of last year.Betty Jean was a long-time employee of the housekeeping department at Wooster Hospital.She is survived by her brothers, Fred Groh of Navarre and John (Judy) Groh of New Philadelphia, three nephews and one niece.A graveside service will be conducted by Pastor Ed Morrison at Ragersville Zion United Church of Christ Cemetery on Saturday, August 16, 2003 at l0 AM. There, Betty will be laid to rest along with the cremated remains of her late husband Gerald.
