Betty Glazer

Betty A. Glazer, age 72, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, April 16, 2025, in Ohio’s Hospice Truman House at New Philadelphia following a period of declining health.

A daughter of the late Francis and Virginia (Himes) Truex, Betty was born on February 28, 1953 at Cambridge, Ohio.

Betty worked for over 30 years at Lafayette Pointe Rehab and Nursing Home as a nurse’s aide. She spent her life as a caregiver, either in the nursing home or caring for her family. In her free-time she enjoyed reading, watching the Hallmark channel and listening to music.

She is survived by her daughter, Liza (Dustin) Wilcox of New Philadelphia; son, Brad Yoder of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Sarah Schlabach, Johnathan Schlabach, Daryl Schlabach, Dalia Schlabach, and Riley Yoder; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert Glazer, whom she married on September 5, 1983; son, Samuel Glazer; brother, Raymond Truex; and sisters, Frances Arnold, Alice Truex, Alice Grewell, Patricia Grewell, and Lisa Truex.

In keeping with Betty’s wishes cremation care has been entrusted to the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory. No services are planned at this time.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Ohio’s Hospice for the excellent care they provided to Betty in her final days.
