Betsy Baxter

Betsy Baxter, age 62, of Dover died Friday August 24, 2012, in her home, with her family at her side.

The daughter of Warren and Emily (Dillehay) Rummell who reside at New Philadelphia, Betsy was born at Dover Nov 14, 1949.

Survivors include her husband James “Jim” of Dover and two sons; Eric (wife, Ann) and Ken Baxter both of New Philadelphia.

She’ll be sadly missed by her four sisters, Andrea (James) Beckley of Lakeland, FL, Susan (Allen) Ferguson, of Republic, WA, Dana (Brian) Sweet of St. Augustine, FL, and Nita (Clyde) Heavlin of New Philadelphia. Special friends Rick, Melanie, Megan and Madison Cercone, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Betsy will also be sadly missed by a host of baseball players of the American Legion team over the past few decades.

Betsy was a former librarian for the Dover Public library and enjoyed reading, sewing and being a homemaker for her family.

There will be no calling hours or services. Cremation has been entrusted to the Geib Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover.

Private services will be held at a later date.
