Bessie Bonisolli

March 29, 1926 — November 13, 2014

Bessie Bonisolli, age 88, of New Philadelphia, died peacefully, while in the care of Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia.

A daughter of the late Samuel and Margurite (McCluggage) Bucher, Bessie was born on March 29, 1926 at New Philadelphia.

She attended New Philadelphia High School and was employed by the Belmont Stamping and Enameling Company.

On March 6, 1955, she married Basil Bonisolli and together they had a blended family of eight children. Basil and Bessie shared in 42 years of marriage prior to his passing on June 6, 1997.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and had several hobbies that included, traveling, dancing, working crossword puzzles, and cooking for family gatherings.

She will be deeply missed by her family that included Basil (Barbara) Bonisolli, Jr. of New Philadelphia, Marla (fiancée, Tim) Bonisolli of Uhrichsville, Lois Anno of Midvale, Jane (Otis) Cunningham of Midvale, William (Elaine) Hawkins of Strasburg, Larry (Kathy) Hawkins of Leesville, and Janet Basiletti of New Philadelphia; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one great- great-grandson and an expected great-great-grandchild due to arrive in March, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Bessie was preceded in death by a son, Michael Bonisolli; a sister, Virginia Adkins, an infant brother and sister; a half-brother, two half-sisters; and two sons-in-law, Howard Anno and Paul Basiletti.

The family will greet guests on Sunday, November 16, from 2-5 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Father Jeff Coning will lead a service in the funeral home’s chapel on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 1:30 PM. Burial in the Evergreen Cemetery will follow. Following services, all are invited to share in a meal and fellowship in the Hospitality Room of the Dover Geib Center.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to Mr. Ray Schilz and the staff of Community Hospice for their care and compassion.
