Bertha M. Rusznak, age 92, a former resident of New Jersey and Florida who resided at New Dawn Health Care and Retirement Center in Dover the past 8 years, died Tuesday, November 16, 2004 after a long illness.Born January 19, 1912 in Shamokin, PA she was the daughter of Lydian and Harry Eztweiler Conrad. She retired after 20 years from the National State Bank of Woodbridge, NJ were she worked as head cashier and moved to Lake Worth, Florida, residing there for 25 years before moving to Dover.She attended Trinity Episcopal Church at New Philadelphia and formerly attended St. John’s Episcopal Church of Sewaren, NJ, and Holy Redeemer Episcopal Church of Lake Worth, Fl. She was a 20-year member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club of Woodbridge, NJ. Her volunteer church and charity work was extensive, spanning a 20-year period in Palm Beach County. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution as well as Daughters of the King.Her husband of 58 years, whom she married May 30, 1936, preceded her in death in 1995. Two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death. Surviving is a sister-in-law of Boyton Beach, Fl along with a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph (Diane) Rusznak of New Philadelphia; two grandchildren: Stacy (Dennis) Wolfe of Marietta, GA and Jason (Jodie) Rusznak of Louisville, OH; four great-grandchildren: Kole Wernowsky, Jolie, Jace, and Jarett Rusznak.A Memorial Eucharist will be celebrated December 5, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church at New Philadelphia with Fr. Paul Johansen officiating. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery at Shamokin, PA following cremation. Arrangements were handled by the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory of New Philadelphia.
