Beatrice R. Sherrets

Beatrice R. Sherrets, 85, of New Philadelphia, died Friday, January 21, 2011 in her home following a period of declining health.A daughter of the late Sidney and Pearl Ann (Brown) Holsky, Beatrice was born December 14, 1925 at Stone Creek, Ohio.Beatrice was a graduate of Stone Creek High School and was a member of Jerusalem Church. She was also a former member of the Dover Eagles and enjoyed participating in a Bunco Card Club. Beatrice also enjoyed crocheting and camping at Clendening Lake and will be remembered by her family as being an excellent cook.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Jan Brindel of New Philadelphia; two grandsons, Morgan Brindel of New Philadelphia and J.J. (Alicia) Brindel of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; a great granddaughter, Tessa Brindel of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and a sister, Thresea (Elmer) Stein of New Philadelphia.Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Sherrets who passed away on June 17, 1988; an infant son, Jeff Sherrets and her late life companion, Alvin Phillabaum.Friends may call on Monday, January 24, 2011 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Beatrice’s life will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Frank Sapp Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Stone Creek Cemetery.
