Beatrice Marie Buckohr

Beatrice Marie Buckohr, 88, of New Philadelphia, died Saturday, January 14, 2006, at Union Hospital.A daughter of the late Alfonso and Ona Delores Gundy Renicker, Beatrice was born February 28, 1917, at the family residence near Roswell, O.Following her education at Henderson School, her talents were employed towards homemaking and raising her family.Beatrice enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, crafting, and canning vegetables from her garden and juices from her grape arbor. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Philadelphia and its Rebecca Circle.She is survived by a daughter, Marge Locker, of New Philadelphia; a son, David V. Buckohr, of Seattle, Washington; grandchildren, Tammy (Jim) Quinlan, of New Philadelphia, Bill (Wendy) Locker and Danielle Crookshanks, of Strasburg, Bruce (Shelly) Buckhor, of Dennison, Brian Buckohr, Kim Blackwell, Julia Yoder and Brad Inhurst and Clay Inhurst, all of New Philadelphia; a sister, Wilma Cook, of Dover; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In 1985, Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, Grant H. Buckohr; whom she married on September 1, 1933; her parents; a son, Grant A. Buckohr; two sisters, Theda Fanti and Florence Baumer and a granddaughter, Kathy Hendricks.Visitation will be Tuesday, January 17, 2006 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia with church council services at 7:50 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home’s chapel on Wednesday, January 18, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor David Lathrop officiating. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover, and a reception will be held at the Geib Family Center in New Philadelphia, immediately following the committal.
