Barbara June Prosser

Barbara June Prosser, 77, of New Philadelphia, died Sunday, February 14, 2016 in Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia following a period of declining health.

A daughter of the late Fred and Margaret (Glazier) Walters, Barbara was born November 2, 1938 at Dover, Ohio.

Barbara was a 1956 graduate of New Philadelphia High School and was retired as a Deputy Clerk of the Tuscarawas County Probate and Juvenile Courts where she worked for 31 years.

She was a 65 year member of the First Christian Church at New Philadelphia and was recently attending New Pointe Church at Dover.  Barbara was an active and social person and was a member of the Historical Society, Friends to Go (Formerly the Red Hat Society), the 1956 Girls Club and enjoyed having lunch with her classmates from the class of 1956.

She is survived by two sons, Steven Link and Bret (Kim) Link both of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Burt Link, Nikki Antonucci, Grace (Lee) Stanley and Jared Domer all of New Philadelphia; a great granddaughter, Charlie Grace Antonucci and a brother-in-law, David Engelhart of New Philadelphia.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Todd Link; a sister, Janet Engelhart; a daughter-in-law, Elaine (Vesco) Link and a nephew, Chad Engelhart.

A memorial service celebrating Barbara’s life will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia with Steve Jenkins officiating.  The family will greet guests from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.  Following the service, a luncheon will be held in the Geib Family Center at New Philadelphia.
