Barbara Jean Hunker

Barbara Jean Hunker, 71, of Dover, passed away Monday, December 21, 2020 in Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital at Dover.

Born in Dover, she was the daughter of the late James and Ruth (McCombs) Gerber and a 1967 graduate of Dover High School.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas D. Hunker on September 14, 2006. Surviving are her son, Josh (Leigh Ann) Hunker of Atwood Lake; two daughters, Samantha (Skip) Hanenkrat of Dover and Sherri Longenette of New Philadelphia; her four granddaughters, Summer Longenette, Chloe Hanenkrat, Sophie Hanenkrat and Rylie Hanenkrat and two sisters, Sue Bair of New Philadelphia and Vicki (Lou) Dalpiaz of Dover.

In addition to her parents and her husband, a sister, Judy Hartline, also precedes her in death.

In keeping with her wishes, Barbara is to be cremated through the care of the Geib Funeral Center at Dover and a private family graveside service is to be held in Dover Burial Park at Dover with Rev. Jon Long officiating.
