Barbara Jean Hinds

Barbara Jean Hinds, 73, of New Philadelphia, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in Affinity Medical Center at Massillon following a courageous battle with a lengthy illness.

A daughter of the late Francis and Margaret (Nelson) Bour, Barb was born October 31, 1940 at New Philadelphia, Ohio.

Barb graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1958 and was retired as a Home Health Care Aide. She was catholic by faith and her true love was her family which was extremely important to her.

She is survived by her children, Tim Frank and Steven (Jennifer Frantz) Frank of New Philadelphia both of New Philadelphia, Kristina (John) Drummer of Bolivar and Doug (Sara) Hinds of Dover; her grandchildren, Victoria Frank of New Philadelphia, Madison (Rocky) Moore of Dover, Paige, Tanner and Tori Frank all of New Philadelphia, Isabella, Ethan and Isaac Drummer all of Bolivar and Leyla and Bayle Hinds of Dover; two great grandchildren, Keilynn and Rowan Moore and two brothers, Nelson (Georgia) Bour of Rocky River, Ohio and Michael (Judy) Bour of New Philadelphia.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents and her former husband, Jack Hinds.

In keeping with Barb’s wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia with Father Jeff Coning officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. in the funeral home.

Because of Barb’s love for animals and her fondness of her dog, Joey, the family requests contributions be made in her memory to the Tuscarawas County Humane Society, 6895 Dover Zoar Road NE, Dover, OH 44622.
