Barbara J. Burton, 62, of New Philadelphia, died Tuesday, February 1, 2005, in her home.Born May 19, 1942, in Schoenbrunn, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Mark Ashberry Page and Margaret “Peggy” Lucille Page Todd, and was a 1960 graduate of the former Midvale High School.Barbara was known to many in the community for her work at the local Speedway Station. Always on the go, she enjoyed playing the lottery and traveling. She also spent time on the telephone keeping track of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who were always the focus of her life. She was a member of the Goshen Community Church of the Nazarene.She will be greatly missed by her companion of 37 years, Dale Dindo; daughters, Marilyn (Troy) Hurst and Christina M. Morrison, both of New Philadelphia; son, Lance “Greg” (Angela) Burton of Dennison; grandchildren, Brock (Brooke) Schilling of New Philadelphia, Seth Brown of Akron, Tyler Brown of New Philadelphia, Jennifer Jean Renee Morrison of New Philadelphia, Derek Kreinbihl, Sonni Kreinbihl, and Amber Burton, all of Dennison; two great grandchildren, Skyler Schilling and Mayson Brown, both of New Philadelphia; sisters, Bertha Callanan of New Jersey, Delores (Charles) Williams of New Philadelphia, twin sister, Sandy Colombo of Tuscarawas, Marlene Morrison of Strasburg, and Sharon Harig of Uhrichsville; brothers, Kenny Page of Columbus, Keith Page of Strasburg, and Mark Page of New Philadelphia; sister-in-law, Jean Ann Page of Strasburg; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Mary Breehl and Ruth Maxwell; brothers, Fred Page and Richard Page; grandson, Brandon Brown; and brothers-in-law, George Callanan, Thomas Colombo, Eugene Breehl, Sr., and Richard Harig.Visitation will be Friday, February 4, 2005, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia, and Saturday, February 5, one hour prior to services which will be conducted by the Rev. Lee Randolph at 11:00 a.m in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Following the committal, friends and family are invited to a reception at the Geib Family Center, adjacent to the funeral home.Memorial contributions to honor Barbara’s life may be made to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society, 201-A West Ohio Avenue, Dover, OH 44622.
