Barbara Ann Billman, 77, of Dover, passed away in New Dawn Healthcare Center at Dover on Monday, August 25, 2014.
Born in Stone Creek on July 25, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Ray Loos and Sylvia Mae (Renniker) Loos. After graduating from Stone Creek High School in 1955, she continued her formal education at Columbus Beauty School.
Barbara was a devoted and loving caregiver to her husband, daughter, and family throughout her lifetime. She was a previous member at the former Grace United Church of Christ at Stone Creek.
Barabara’s hobbies included completing jigsaw puzzles and craftwork. She also enjoyed mowing the lawn.
Barbara married her lifelong companion and friend, the late Wayne Elmer “Tug” Billman on August 1, 1958, at Evangelical & Reformed Church at Stone Creek. Together, they enjoyed their community of friends in Oldtown Valley, where they resided numerous years. He preceded her in passing on July 25, 2000.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Pamela S. (Jay) Horn of New Philadelphia; three sister-in-laws, Violet Isenogle of Beach City, Juanita Harbaugh of New Philadelphia, Shirley Billman of Dover; a brother-in-law, Jerry Billman of New Philadelphia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Edwin Isenogle.
Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Pastor Kimberly Arbaugh will officiate Barbara’s service on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home’s chapel. Burial will follow in Stone Creek Cemetery.
