Barbara Anne Reding

Barbara Anne Reding, 70, of Strasburg, died Sunday, August 11, 2013 in her home following a period of declining health.

A daughter of the late Wendell and Iola Snell, Barbara was born on August 29, 1942 at Bath, New York. Barbara graduated from Northside High School at Corning, New York.

Barbara moved to the Tuscarawas County area in 1960 and would eventually return to her hometown in 1976. Then in 2003, she relocated to Strasburg to be near her sons. Upon her return to the area she assisted her sons with the operation of the Lynn Drive-In Movie Theatre at Strasburg where she served as the box office cashier. Barbara had a love for animals and she especially cherished her cats.

She is survived by her sons, Richard Wayne (Darla) Reding and James William Reding both of Strasburg; two grandchildren, Richard Wyatt Reding and Olivia Gardinsky; two brothers, Gordon and Merlin Snell both of Corning, New York as well as other extended family members.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Jennifer S. Reding.

In keeping with Barbara’s wishes there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care the Geib Funeral Center at Dover.
