Barbara Ann Link, age 59, of New Philadelphia died peacefully, Tuesday morning, January 18, 2011, in her home, with her family at her side, following a courageous battle with cancer.A daughter of the late Richard Ray Vogt, Sr. and Lila Lee Grove Vogt, Barb was born at Dover, Ohio on October 17, 1951.She was a 1970 graduate of New Philadelphia High School and went on to work for the former Reeves Steel Mill and Union Camp firms at Dover, Ohio. Barb later relocated to the Columbus area and would hold employment for a number of years at Mount Carmel Hospital where she worked in the hospital’s cafeteria.She returned to the Tuscarawas Valley in 2008 and found comfort in knowing her family was close by. She enjoyed spending time with each of her family members; and especially enjoyed outings with her daughter and grandchildren. Barb was known as an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Notre Dame football teams. Additionally, she enjoyed outings that allowed her to travel to Wheeling Island where she enjoyed the atmosphere of those around and of course, was always looking for that “big win.”Barb will be greatly missed by her family which includes a daughter, Leann Stemple-Stephens and her husband, James Stephens, Jr. of Dover; a sister, Janet L. Vogt and her companion, Robert Bigler, of New Philadelphia; and a brother, Richard Ray Vogt, Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth of Uhrichsville.Also surviving are three grandsons, Brandon, Dillon, and Bailey Stephens all of Dover; a special cousin, Fred Page of New Philadelphia; her canine companion, Keegan, and numerous nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends on Friday, January 21, 2011, from 4 â?? 6 p.m. in the Linn-Hert- Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Revered Hugh B. Berry will lead a memorial service celebrating Barb’s life in the funeral home’s chapel at 6 p.m. Cremation care has been conducted through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover. Following services, the family will host a memorial reception in the upstairs social hall of the Carl C.
