Audrey Fay Miller

Audrey Fay Miller, age 81 of Dover, died peacefully Wednesday afternoon, November 23, 2005 in Union Hospital at Dover. Born at Jefferson Township, Tuscarawas County, Ohio, August 8, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Calvin Brice and Ruby Tena Miller.Audrey grew up in the area and graduated from Dover High School with the class of 1942. She was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church at Dover and a past member of Union Hospital Auxiliary. A devoted mother and homemaker, Audrey spent many years as the librarian and archivist at The Times-Reporter. Her family will remember her as a loving, intelligent, hardworking and honest matriarch.Survivors include a daughter, Sue Hartz of Dover; two granddaughters, Michelle Hartz-Coutts of New Philadelphia and Melinda Hartz and her husband Randy Galbraith of Little Hocking, Ohio, two great-grandsons, Wolfgang and Corwin Hartz-Coutts both of New Philadelphia. A sister, Olive and her husband Bill Lyons of Canton complete the family. In addition to her parents, a brother Vernon Miller and three sisters, Erma Shanower, Peace Matthews and Juanita Flory and her former husband, Richard McDermott Miller precede Audrey in death. Friends are invited to call Monday, November 28, from 2 Â? 4 and 6-8 PM in the Geib Funeral Center, 5600 North Wooster Avenue at Dover. The Reverend James Lewis will lead funeral services Tuesday at 10:00 AM in the sanctuary of Grace Lutheran Church in downtown Dover. Burial in St. Jacobs Cemetery at Jefferson Township will follow services.
