Ashli R. Lake, 22, of Mineral City died Tuesday, September 27, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center in Canton O. of injuries received in a tragic automobile accident.Born February 3, 1983 in Dover, O., she was the daughter of Linda Chaney of Canton, and John Lake Jr. of Mineral City, and granddaughter of Willard R. ChaneyAfter attending Tuscarawas Valley High School and Buckeye Career Center, she was employed as a retail clerk for First Run Video. Ashli so enjoyed the nature she found around her and found a special love with the sea and dolphins. She enjoyed watching and listening to the sounds of the ocean and its inhabitants. Ashli was also there to help the American Legion in Mineral City in preparing gift boxes for our troops on foreign soil to help make brighten their lives.She is survived by one brother John E. Lake III of Mineral City; two sisters Janine (Bob) Brostrom of Sebeka, Minnesota, and Shirleen Lake of Tillamook Oregon; four aunts, Donna (Richard) Rainsberg of New Philadelphia, Myrna (Gary) Holderbaum, of Barnhill, Darlene (Sonny) Imer of Gnadenhutten, and Connie Chaney of Sugarcreek; 3 nephews and one niece; and a special friend, Robb Mahoney of Canton.She was preceded in death by three grandparents, Juanita Seldenright Chaney, John E. Lake Sr., and Mildred Briggs Lake; and one uncle, Russ Chaney.Visitation will be Friday September 30, 2005 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Services will be Saturday October 1, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Frederick Blauser officiating.
