Ashley Nicole Passio

Ashley Nicole Passio, 35, a cherished mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter and grandmother, passed away unexpectedly in her home on August 22, 2024. Her departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.

Born December 21, 1988 at Dover, she was the daughter of the late Andrew A. Bedard, Sr. and is survived by her mother , Jody L. Bedard and Daniel R. Hanes of Uhrichsville.

Known for her infectious and welcoming spirit, she possessed a remarkable personality that endeared her to everyone who crossed her path. Those knew her couldn't help but love her. She inspired others and gave them the will to always move on and supported her friends through their challenges. Ashley had a unique ability to light up the darkest of days with her encouragement and love.

A true lover of nature, Ashley found peace and joy in the great outdoors. She cherished every opportunity to go fishing or bow hunting, pursuits that brought her closer to both the beauty of the world around her and the joy of camaraderie shared with loved ones. These moments of tranquility and adventure reflected the essence of her spirit: vibrant, free, and full of life.

Ashley is also survived by six children, Richelle Passio, Anthony Passio, Isabella Passio, Braxton Echelberry, Kimber Smart and Ted Smart II; one grandchild, Skyler Passio; two brothers, Andrew (Ashley) Bedard and Allen (Anna) Bedard; her maternal grandmother, Bonnie Hays; her uncle, Bill Hays; and also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved dog, Creed. Ashley was also extremely grateful to her cousin, Brenda Starnes, for taking such great care of her for the past year. 

In addition to her father, Ashley was also preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Clarence Hays and her paternal grandparents, Raymond and Kathy Bedard.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation care is to be provided by the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia and her family will host a celebration of Ashley's life at a later date.
