Arthur H. "Art" Ross

Arthur H. “Art” Ross, 77, of Dover, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024 in Cleveland Clinic-Mercy Medical Center at Canton, following a short illness.

Born in Canton, Art was the son of the late Elmer M. and Doris M. (Luce) Ross and a 1964 graduate of Canton South High School. Art proudly served his country in the U.S. Army being stationed in Germany from 1965 until 1967 when he was honorably discharged. Art worked for Wayne Dalton at Mount Hope retiring in 2008.

Art is survived by his three daughters, Belynda (Tim) Hoss of Newport, North Carolina, Kristi (Jim) Festi of Dover and Katie Ross of Dover; the mother of his children, Ginny Paris of Dover; his two sisters, Shirley Ison of Apache Junction, Arizona and Noreen (Raymond) Cassidy of East Canton; six grandchildren, Allyssa (Brent) Caray of Shawnee, Kansas, Ashley Creech of Newport, North Carolina, Abigayle Creech of Shawnee, Kansas, Robert Alan Creech, Jr. of Falmouth, Kentucky and James and Justin Festi of Dover; one great granddaughter, Sierra Creech of Newport North Carolina and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Herb Deibel and Cindi and Jim Stoll and an infant son, Ryan Patrick Ross, also precede him in death.

In keeping with Art’s wishes, cremation care is to be provided by the Geib Funeral Center & Crematory at Dover and the family will receive friends for a celebration of Art’s life on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 11 AM to 3 PM in the Ernest Warther Museum Event Center, 311 Karl Avenue, Dover, Ohio 44622.
