Arlene Kay Hoagland

Arlene Kay Hoagland, age 79, of Midvale, died peacefully, Friday, January 8, 2021, in Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital following a period of declining health.

Born on June 28, 1941, at Dover, Ohio, Arlene was a daughter of the late William D. and Bertha C. Abel Rennicker.

Arlene was a graduate of Tusky Valley High School and was employed by Park Village Health Care Center at Dover where she worked as a Cook. She loved puzzles of all kinds, caring for her cats, going out to eat, and spending time with her family.

Surviving is her husband, Earl Hoagland, whom she married on May 30, 1971; their children, Tina Hoagland of Midvale and Larry (Barb) Hoagland of Beach City; her grandchildren, Keith Hoagland, Mackenzie Hoagland, Kristyn Hoagland, and Chance Swihart; a great-granddaughter, Rylie Hoagland; her sister, Ann Mizer of New Cumberland and her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by a brother, David Rennicker and a sister, Thelma Swihart.

In keeping with Arlene’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. Cremation will be conducted through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.
