Arlene D. Parson

Arlene D. Parson, 83, of New Philadelphia, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 in Park Village Health Care at Dover following a period of declining health.

A daughter of the late Lester and Margaret (Cane) McRobie, Arlene was born November 21, 1937 at Havre de Grace, Maryland.

Arlene and her late husband, Bruce, were avid campers and boaters and spent much of their free time at Salt Fork Lake.  Arlene also enjoyed playing Bingo.

She is survived by her sons, Bruce (Michelle) Parson and Jim (Chris) Parson; her grandchildren, Michelle (Adam) Vincenzo, Nikki (Alton) Thompson, Ashley Parson, Nina Parson, B.J. (Barb) Parson, Dakota (Abbie) Kopp, Dillon Kopp and Claudia Kopp; two great-grandchildren, Maci and Mya Thompson and her siblings, Wanda Paris, Myrtle Walker and Junior (Charlotte) McRobie.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bruce O. Parson who passed away November 15, 2000; her daughter, Terri Kopp; her son-in-law, Donald Kopp; a grandson, Drake Kopp and a sister, Janet Everhart.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.  A funeral service celebrating Arlene’s life will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Earl Rogers officiating.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.
