Ardath J. Hobart, 84, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, September 18, 2002, at Union Hospital following a brief illness.Born May 18, 1918, in Columbus, Ohio, she was the daughter of Isaac Henninger and Clara Keffer Henninger. Ardath was a 1936 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. She was a homemaker and a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church. Surviving is a daughter, Judith (Robert) Barbee of Tuscarawas; two sons, Larry (Adelia) Hobart and Tom (Lois) Hobart both of Stone Creek; nine grandchildren, Debra (Steve) Adams, Shelly Rushworth, Lisa (Joe) Mirra, John Hobart, Carrie (Jayme) Fostor, Nathan (Rachell) Hobart, Andrew Hobart, Lorinda (Pete) Popa, Phillip Barbee; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Hobart, whom she married September 25, 1937, and who passed away, January 20, 2000; brother, Warren J. Henninger; aunt, Eunice Smith.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2002, at 10:30 AM in the Otterbein United Methodist Church, 156 Beaver Avenue, New Philadelphia with Rev. James Taggart officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia. Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 20, from 5-8 PM at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home, New Philadelphia.Memorial contributions may be made to Otterbein United Methodist Church, 156 Beaver Ave., New Philadelphia, Oh 44663.
